DAY 1 Scenic flight to Leveque - board Odyssey
Your Charter Bus will greet you at around 10am and arrange for your transportation to the airport for your scenic flight. "The Dampier Peninsula's most northerly point is resplendent with sparkling waters and pindan cliffs." After take-off you head north across the Dampier Peninsula and land at Cape Leveque which is 222 km north of Broome. Once aboard the vessel our friendly crew will settle you into your new home for the duration of your cruise. Lunch will Served and we will get underway. You may wish to stroll to the Upper deck, enjoy the fresh sea air and relax with the contrasting colours of our coastal beaches.
DAY 2 Croc Creek - Horizontal Waterfalls
Relax, sit back and enjoy a satisfying breakfast & then take a refreshing early morning swim under one of the many Kimberley Water falls at Croc Creek. Cruise slowly through Yampi Sound and Collier Bay to the iconic and magnificent Horizontal Falls. We'll experience the awesome power of the Horizontal Waterfalls. When it is safe your experienced crew will take you through the falls then continue on for a fascinating exploration of the geology located within Talbot Bay. We will spend the night within the Bay.
DAY 3 Cruise Collier Bay into Camden Sound
Today we'll visit Camden Sound the breeding grounds of our magnificent Humpback. Meet the local researchers in the afternoon. Across the top of Montgomery Reef and Collier Bay and onto Sampson Inlet for The evening. We make an early start as we head towards the top end of Montgomery Reef. A chance to spot whales and Dolphins at play and catch a fresh fish for dinner. We'll aim to get you ashore to one of the many amazing islands in our path for a quick explore, before we cruise into the magnificent and very scenic Sampson Inlet. Located at the top end of Collier Bay, Sampson makes a perfect natural harbour for our evening stop. Time to find a few tasty large Kimberley black lipped oysters.
DAY 4 Doubtful Bay and Ruby Falls
Doubtful Bay is a beautiful area explored on most of our cruises. From here explore Aboriginal Rock Art at Raft Point. Watch the sun rise over Steep Island or head into the creeks try your luck fishing and crabbing. Ruby Falls were only recently discovered and named after the daughter of its founder. This picturesque location makes a great area for a Devonshire tea party after a rejuvenating cool off under the waterfall.
DAY 5 Sale River and Montgomery Reef
From Raft Point we take an unforgettable passage through Turtle Alley to Montgomery Reef, 400 square kilometers of reef that on a high spring tide is 4 meters underwater. With the outgoing tide the reef is then exposed by more than 4 meters; a marvel not to be missed. Spot for giant turtles, manta rays, dugongs & the many varieties of fish that inhabit these waters- maybe even throw a line over & catch some tasty fish for dinner. If the tides and time are on our side we'll have a thrilling evening arrival within the Sale River.
DAY 6 Dampier Peninsular - 4WD interperative tour
After an early lunch its time to say goodbye as you disembark Oceania and start your 4wd. Departing the vessel you will land at you can enjoy a relaxing swim before heading off to the beautiful Cape Leveque Kooljaman retreat where Lombadina Aboriginal Community we can meet the locals an learn a little about the history of this area.
For afternoon tea to the Aboriginal community of Beagle Bay. The home of the Historic Sacred Heart Church with its unique pearl shell alter. By late afternoon you will be delivered to your accommodation.
