Day 1
Guests on the MV Diversity II are collected at approximately 3.00pm from either their accommodation venue or a location
organised if they wish to wander in the Broome shopping precinct prior to departure. Once on board, you will have the opportunity to meet the other guests and crew, be shown your accommodation and taken through our safety procedures. Whilst the skipper takes leave of Broome, a welcome drink and trays of hors d'oeuvres will be offered on the back deck. Guests can relax with a fantastic view of the famous cable beach as the MV Diversity II makes its first steam overnight to our first stop at Yampi Sound.
Day 2
Wake up to your first experience of the delights of the Kimberley, start your day with a prepared cooked breakfast, then board one of our custom built tenders to collect black lip oysters, or fish the headlands or creeks that this area has on offer. Back on
board, MV Diversity II will then make its way to the well known swimming hole at Camp Creek created by the iron ore workers living on Koolan Island some 40 years ago. Lunch will be served while the MV Diversity II moves through the Koolan channel, allowing you to see the Iron Islands where the pearling fleet historically collected ballast for the pearl luggers that worked in the area. We will continue via Dugong Bay into Talbot Bay where you can experience the thrill of the amazing Horizontal Falls. After enjoying a sumptuous evening meal the MV Diversity II will steam out of Talbot Bay and head to the mouth of the mighty Walcott Inlet or Secure Bay, drop anchor and enjoy a restful night.
Day 3
Slowly open your eyes on awaking to a totally different landscape than the previous day, take time to enjoy your breakfast, then
off into one of the MV Diversity II's work horses to explore one of these amazing rivers, the run offs and creeks that branch off the river system allow you to fish for the elusive Barramundi, Finger Mark, Trevally and the feisty Mangrove Jack. The MV Diversity II will spend the entire day in one of these two river systems depending on the Tide and Mother Nature. Enjoy your evening meal, have a drink on one of the three decks available for your use and be a part of the startling backdrop of stars visible in the Kimberley night-scape. Whilst you enjoy a well earned sleep, we will steam for Raft Point.
Day 4
Awake to the aroma of fresh coffee and breakfast being prepared. Once you are energized, MV Diversity II's crew will land you
on the beach and escort you for the walk up through a scenic track to view the awesome sight of a gallery of Aboriginal Art that tells a visual story of an ancient race of water people that lived in the area approximately 1000 years ago. On the way back down stop and view the incredible sight of Steep Island across the water. Once back on board you will be taken on a short steam into Doubtful Bay where you spend the day pursuing your choice of activities like fishing, mud crabbing or exploring the many fresh water swimming holes the Kimberley keeps secret. Then the MV Diversity II will steam and anchor in the mouth of the Three Way river system, where you will enjoy your evening meal and have another opportunity to view natures incredible gift of a Kimberley sunset. Fishers have the opportunity to do a little night fishing from the back of the Vessel.
Day 5
Early breakfast and then its off exploring or fishing, there is a barra with your name on it so definitely no sleeping in today. Back
to the MV Diversity II for lunch and a rest, those die hard fisher folk can spend the afternoon doing what they love best and the others can enjoy the comforts of the boat or explore and swim in a safe swimming fresh water pool that the three way River system has on offer. Late in the evening you will enjoy a short steam to the Sale River. At rest in the Sale River amid the backdrop of a Kimberley night sky, enjoy a drink and the company of others or challenge one of your fellow guests to a board or card game.
Day 6
Enjoy a leisurely breakfast, then you can chose to take the opportunity to fish the mouth, rock bars and run offs that this river
offers, or relax with a good book until the tides allow us to take the tenders up the river. We will cruise along passing towering sandstone cliffs that lead you to an amazing tropical rain forest with orchards of ferns and fresh water swimming holes, in this amazing part of the Kimberley the fishing is good and the water is sweet. Back on board MV Diversity II we will steam back to Raft Point and drop anchor in its shadow, where you can watch the many exquisite changes of colour and moods as the Kimberley sun sets into the west. Enjoy a drink and the evening meal with your fellow guests under the shadow of Raft Point.
Day 7
Depart Raft Point early in the day and enjoy a short steam to nearby Montgomery Reef, where we will drop anchor in a channel
carved out of the reef by the tidal activity over millions of years, watch the wonder of the reef rising out of the ocean and the water cascading into the channel, you can either fish the run offs or just take the opportunity of having your photo taken with a part of the Kimberley. Sadly this is our last day and we have to depart this part of the world and head back to reality.
Day 8
Arrive in Broome at approximately 07.30 and disembark MV Diversity II to finish your holiday experience in Broome or catch your flight home.
